Worm Farm Kit

A Fairfax Backyard Farmer special, our Oregon Pine worm bins are wax-coated for durability and hold up to 50lbs of weight without failing. The Basic Farm includes a bottom board for ventilation, a large 16” x 20” x 9.5” Feeding box with hemp filter and metal screening and an all wooden telescoping lid. (note copper foil lid pictured is no longer available )

The Deluxe Kit adds a drain box with waterproof insert to collect “worm juice”

Optional additional accessories to consider include a Worm Therm thermometer to monitor inside temperature , Coconut Coir bedding , aluminum stand and additional feeding box for expanded capacity .

With a 2-chamber system for feeding and draining, these worm bins ensure the perfect balance of moisture and are a great eco-friendly alternative to the short-lived plastic models.

Backyard Worms
Worms are a farmer’s best friend - they improve drainage, soil structure and productivity by increasing the amount of air and water that gets into the soil4 . They break down organic matter to improve nutrient availability for plants to consume, and when they eat, the castings they leave behind provide a nutrient rich fertilizer.
