Workshop Backyard Foraging
This is an introductory glimpse into the world that is wild food and foraging. A foundation of getting to know plants and nature from the perspective of flavor. We will go over sustainable foraging practices, the main players of this region and how to harvest and cook them, learn the poisonous plants of our area so you know where not to dabble, go on a brief plant identification trail walk nearby and make some wild treats to take home.
Participants will also receive a foraging calendar specific to this region, with information on harvesting and preparing.
